Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
We appreciate your kind gesture and generosity for visiting the Website of East Ghana Conference (EGC) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The headquarters of the Conference is in Koforidua, the capital of Eastern Region. The mission of the East Ghana Conference is to call all people within our territory to become disciples of Jesus Christ, to proclaim the everlasting Gospel embraced in the three angel’s messages (Revelation 14:6-12), and to prepare the entire field for Christ soon coming, and I believe with all my heart that your visit to this website will be more prosperous and fruit yielding as you join us in preparing the way for the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
My dear brothers and sisters, I will not deny in any way or whatsoever that we are indeed living in hard times. Many people are suffering because the cosmic conflict has been intensified. The signs of the end are rapid and there is no doubt that we are living in the last days of this earth’s history. Christ is soon to come and we must all make earnest effort to get ourselves ready before His glorious appearing in the skies of Heaven is made a present reality at last.
“The terrible reports we hear of murders and robberies, of railway accidents and deeds of violence, tell the story that the end of all things is at hand. Now, just now, we need to be preparing for the Lord’s second coming.”–Letter 308, 1907 (Last Day Events, p. 23).
Disaster upon disaster is happening in every part of the world. We can make mention of floods, hurricanes, tornadoes or whirlwinds, fires, landslides and volcanoes. What make matters even worse is that all these events happen in quick succession and they almost take us unaware. Many lives are destroyed, billions of properties go waste and many hearts are failing for fear of these events just as Christ foretold.
“The nations are in unrest. Times of perplexity are upon us. Men’s hearts are failing them for fear of the things that are coming upon the earth. But those who believe in God will hear His voice amid the storm, saying, “It is I; be not afraid.”–Signs of the Times, Oct. 9, 1901.
“We are not now able to describe with accuracy the scenes to be enacted in our world in the future, but this we do know, that this is a time when we must watch unto prayer, for the great day of the Lord is at hand.” –Selected Messages, book 2, p. 35 (1901).
The time has come for the remnants of the Lord to stand up and to take up their mandate and just as John the Baptist; we are to point men to Jesus, saying: “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 1:29. Now as never before is to be sounded the invitation: “If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink.” “The Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” John 7:37; Revelation 22:17. 6T 20.2
Sound an alarm throughout the length and breadth of the earth. Tell the people that the day of the Lord is near and hasteth greatly. Let none be left unwarned. We might have been in the place of the poor souls that are in error. We might have been placed among barbarians. According to the truth we have received above others, we are debtors to impart the same to them. 6T 22.2
The great controversy is ended. Sin and sinners are no more. The entire universe is clean. One pulse of harmony and gladness beats through the vast creation. From Him who created all, flow life and light and gladness, throughout the realms of illimitable space. From the minutest atom to the greatest world, all things, animate and inanimate, in their unshadowed beauty and perfect joy, declare that God is love.–The Great Controversy, pp. 677, 678.
On this note, you are warmly welcome to EGC website.
GOD BLESS YOU MUCH
